The importance of the HumanFactors

The human factors plays very important role in our ALL activities.
The extent of their influences are a lot more than we normally imagine.

As I worked many years in a mission critical industry where the study of HumanFactors are very important, and also as I have been interested in "why do we make mistakes and why we have problem in learning/executing tasks" since early childhood, I acquired a lot of knowledge and experiences in this area.

Although it's a common knowledge, EVERYBODY makes mistake, everyday, almost without exception.
And the cause of these mistakes and problems can be originating in these human factors.

If we understand their mecahnism and find the remedies, we will find ourselves dealing with less headaches.

Why are we so stupid?

Well, mainly because our parents were stupid, I'd say.
We know very well that teh education can make huge differences.
If we are still stupid after many thousands years of civilizations, I think we can blame our parents and ancesters for that.

As we have the animal instinct to blindly trust our parents or adults/elders around us during our childhood, our brain is full of junks our parents got from their parents.
When we get older, we are supposed to get wiser, and re-evaluate and clean up some of these junks. But not many have succeeded, judging from the current situation we live.

Do we have any hope?
Honestly, I don't know.
But if you don't like to carry around blindly acquired prejudices and all other junks, you have to go through long and someotime painful labor of re-examining all we think we know.

... to be continued, or revised, or zapped
